KOMO, the expert on certified products and processes in the construction and installation sector, is making a catalog of specification specifications available to specifiers free of charge. This KOMO specification catalog integrates with the Open Specification Format (OSF) of the software suppliers Cube, Ibis, DUNCAN and De Twee Snoeken.

Presentation of first certificates for SKG-IKOB plastic profiles
On July 24, Olaf van Panhuys and Guido Soontiëns for SKG-IKOB Certification presented the first KOMO product certificates on BRL 0702 for plastic profiles to Mark Beukert and René van Genderen of GEALAN Fenster-Systeme GmbH. With these certificates, Gealan demonstrates that its plastic profiles are suitable for the construction of plastic windows and doors.

Industry associations encourage 'Building on CSR'

First certificate awarded in Geldermalsen
Borgh's Facamax cavity anchor renovation system received the certificate for BRL 2826 and URL 40.01 from SKG-IKOB at the end of April. In addition to the already mandatory CE marking for cavity anchors, the additional tests of the two guidelines give additional assurance to KOMO-certified renovation companies. Facamax is one system for re-anchoring existing masonry facade structures.

Effective date coexistence period set for NEN-EN 16034 - product standard for fire and smoke resistant windows and doors
Meanwhile, the transition period of the coexistence period for EN 16034 has been set to September 1, 2016. The coexistence period lasts 3 years and runs until September 1, 2019. This means that CE marking on fire and smoke resistant windows and doors will be possible on a voluntary basis as of September 1, 2016.
