TBA and SKG-IKOB work together on quality in the finishing industry

The Technical Bureau Afbouw and SKG-IKOB Certification recently signed a cooperation agreement. The purpose of this agreement is to make distinction on quality easier for finishing companies and to achieve maximum efficiency with quality controls that complement each other.

The cooperation ensures a better service to the finishing industry. As a result, a growth in the number of KOMO-certified companies is expected. For decades, the TBA and SKG-IKOB Certification have provided various services to the finishing industry. The TBA carries out quality inspections and damage assessments. This is done at the request of the finishing company or for the Afbouwkeur recognition scheme. SKG-IKOB Certification is market leader of the accredited KOMO-Afbouw scheme.

The first step is to coordinate the inspections for the Afbouwkeur recognition scheme and for KOMO-Afbouw, so that no items are inspected twice. The TBA will also handle new applications from KOMO-Afbouw. The services within the cooperation agreement relate to the certification activities of BRL 9600 KOMO-Afbouw for the scopes of screeds, screeds, plastering, spackle spraying, system walls and ceilings and non-load-bearing interior walls of stony material.
