In the SKG-IKOB laboratory, hard work is being done on the new test wall for post-insulation with mineral wool. The engineering phase has been completed and the pre-insulation wall is ready. In order to be able to test all the situations we encounter in practice, the dimensions are larger than those of the previous test wall. 

In 2015, SKG-IKOB, in cooperation with the VNV and some cleaning companies, among others, started drafting a new guideline for cleaning facades.

Under great interest, the 2nd meeting for suppliers and manufacturers of fire-resistant windows and/or doors took place Feb. 17 at SKG IKOB in Geldermalsen: "What are the implications of EN 16034 for fire and smoke-resistant windows and doors for your business?"

B&B Locks bvba from Wijnegem in Belgium has obtained the Certificate of Constancy of performance on EN 14846: 2008 (Building hardware - Locks and bolts - Electromagnetically operated locks and striker plates).

On Thursday, November 26, the General Assembly (ALV) of the Association of the Plastic Facade Elements Industry (VKG) took place at SKG-IKOB in Geldermalsen.

SKG-IKOB Certification has a new test rig for testing facade elements and curtain walls for air and water tightness, strength and stiffness. Due to the large dimensions of the test rig, testing of large facade elements is possible. 

KOMO, the expert on certified products and processes in the construction and installation sector, is making a catalog of specification specifications available to specifiers free of charge. This KOMO specification catalog integrates with the Open Specification Format (OSF) of the software suppliers Cube, Ibis, DUNCAN and De Twee Snoeken. 

The Technical Bureau Afbouw and SKG-IKOB Certification recently signed a cooperation agreement. The purpose of this agreement is to make distinction on quality easier for finishing companies and to achieve maximum efficiency with quality controls that complement each other.
