Presentation of ETA to ICF Moulding at Trade Fair Energy

First professional mineral wool examinations conducted by SKG-IKOB
On September 23, the first professional exams for processing mineral wool as cavity wall insulation were held. The examining SKG-IKOB Certification had the employees of Insulation company Pluimers visit Geldermalsen for this purpose. The exams are part of the requirements of the KOMO certification for the application of mineral wool.

Unique new test wall for post-insulation
On September 1, SKG-IKOB's new test wall for post-insulation in Geldermalsen was opened by Mr. R. van Boxtel, chairman of VENIN (Vereniging van Erkende Na-Isolatiebedrijven in Nederland). The wall is intended to both inspect products and machinery and to train the executive staff of post-insulation companies.

New test setup burglar resistance at SKG-IKOB
The laboratory of SKG-IKOB Certification now has a new test rig for testing the burglar resistance of facade elements and hardware. Due to the large dimensions of both the test setup and the SKG-IKOB laboratory, testing of large facade elements is possible and heavy elements are no problem.

SKG-IKOB accredited for certification of plastic profiles
SKG-IKOB Certification may from now on issue product certificates for plastic profiles under accreditation. The Accreditation Council has granted SKG-IKOB accreditation for certification on BRL 0702 for plastic profiles for the production of windows and doors.

Certification of fencing and gates - Special offer for members of NHI
With a SKG-IKOB komo certificate on BRL 4108 or BRL 4109, the customer can be quickly and easily convinced of the quality of the final product. In addition, internal failure costs will decrease due to periodic supervision of your production and/or assembly by SKG-IKOB.

Tests on fences and gates - Safety at electric drives EN 12455
As part of CE marking on garage doors and gates according to EN 13241, it may be necessary to have the performance of the product determined. For some properties the manufacturer may do this himself, for the majority these initial type tests (ITT) must be carried out by a Notified Body.

First pilot KOMO Instrument Quality Assurance together with Janssen de Jong Group launched
The first pilot with the KOMO Instrument for Quality Assurance (KIK) is underway. A large project of Hercuton, part of Janssen de Jong Groep, is being executed according to the system of the Wet op de Kwaliteitsborging (Wkb) in de Bouw. This means: private quality assurance, in which the quality controller uses the instrument that seamlessly connects to the Wkb in construction: KIK of KOMO.

STABU and KOMO join forces for construction and installation sector
The STABU Foundation and the KOMO Foundation are joining forces in view of the system change under the Building Quality Assurance Act (Wkb). By working closely together, both bodies want to offer added value to the construction and installation sector. KOMO's BRLs will be linked to the STABU Specification System Construction-wide as soon as possible.
