Tests on fences and gates - Safety at electric drives EN 12455
As part of CE marking on garage doors and gates according to EN 13241, it may be necessary to have the performance of the product determined. For some properties the manufacturer may do this himself, for the majority these initial type tests (ITT) must be carried out by a Notified Body.

First pilot KOMO Instrument Quality Assurance together with Janssen de Jong Group launched
The first pilot with the KOMO Instrument for Quality Assurance (KIK) is underway. A large project of Hercuton, part of Janssen de Jong Groep, is being executed according to the system of the Wet op de Kwaliteitsborging (Wkb) in de Bouw. This means: private quality assurance, in which the quality controller uses the instrument that seamlessly connects to the Wkb in construction: KIK of KOMO.

STABU and KOMO join forces for construction and installation sector
The STABU Foundation and the KOMO Foundation are joining forces in view of the system change under the Building Quality Assurance Act (Wkb). By working closely together, both bodies want to offer added value to the construction and installation sector. SKG-IKOB Certification is expanding its anti-theft testing to include testing of two-wheeler locks and mechanical security devices for vehicles. The company is taking over the activities of TASS International (former TNO), which is discontinuing these mechanical security activities.

Legal obligation CE marking escape doors
Manufacturers of escape doors in exterior walls are required by law to be certified to standard EN 14351-1. To this end, they must have a documented Factory Production Control (FPC) system. This is to ensure that the escape doors placed on the market meet the performance listed in the CE mark.
Monumental tiled roofs: a trade in itself
Work will soon begin on a URL for historic tile coverings. The URL is an initiative of the foundation Erkende Restauratiekwaliteit Monumentenzorg (ERM) and association Het Slopende Dak (HHD). The purpose of the implementation guideline is to make clear, nationally applicable agreements on how to maintain and restore pan coverings.
