Mutual recognition of test reports SKG-IKOB and Efectis Nederland
As part of the CE marking process, a manufacturer must establish (or have established) the performance of its product through testing. Frequently, these tests are related, as in the case of an opening and closing cycle prior to fire resistance testing of fire doors.
Therefore, SKG-IKOB and Efectis Nederland have expressed mutual trust in the results of each other's test reports. This mutual recognition of the various mechanical, durability, smoke and fire tests simplifies the process of CE marking.
Testing represents only one of several steps in the process of CE marking a product. In the case of fire-resistant doors, for example, in addition to testing, product quality is independently assured by a factory inspection.
