Private quality assurance construction: more customer-friendliness and faster processes
Private quality assurance in construction leads to more customer-friendliness and faster processes. At least in England, the Economic Institute for Construction (EIB) concludes. Also in Germany, Ireland and Norway the experiences with private quality assurance companies are positive.
The EIB writes that in the study "International comparison quality assurance: Practical experiences and policy implications for the proposed Dutch system. And: Henk Klein Poelhuis (AFNL) argues for rapid introduction of Wkb.
Urging consideration of Wkb Senate
The EIB report comes at a time when the Senate has yet to adopt the Wkb. Henk Klein Poelhuis, the chairman of Aannemersfederatie Nederland Bouw en Infra ANFL, in a letter to the members of the Senate, therefore urges a speedy debate so that the law can also be introduced quickly. Klein Poelhuis: "The branch members of the AFNL - 1,800 companies in the construction and infrastructure sector; all SME contractors, with skilled employees, are ready for it." He continued: "That this system is being changed is a step in the right direction as far as the ANFL is concerned. It will lead to more efficiency in the construction and licensing process and provides more certainty for builders and clients."
