Metal facade elements

Concrete and concrete mortar
SKG-IKOB tests concrete for compressive strength on drilled cylinders and concrete cubes according to EN 12504-1 and EN 12390-3. We determine the density according to EN 12390-7.
Chlorides in concrete can cause corrosion of the reinforcement. With a method derived from CUR recommendation 72 method Volhard (Bouwdienst RWS BSW 96-01) and the NEN-EN 14629: 2007 we determine the chloride content of the sample you supply.

Adhesives for tiles

Sewer core survey
According to an established protocol, we test supplied drill cores for dry volume mass, water absorption, carbonation front and split tensile strength. In addition, we calculate the derived compressive strength in accordance with CUR report 52. The results of these tests provide insight into the residual life of the sewer. They are widely used by sewer maintenance companies.

Raveel/girdle shoes
Manufacturers of raveel/girdle shoes must determine the performance of load capacity and deformation under load with tests. This makes these tests an essential part of preparing the declaration of performance for the legally required CE marking. SKG-IKOB will gladly carry out these tests for you.
What is a raveel/girdle shoe and what trials are there for it?
A joist / purlin hanger is a support structure used to mount a wooden beam, such as a joist or purlin beam, on or to masonry.
Our accreditation applies to tests for products that fall within the scope of product standard NEN-EN 845-1+A1, Specifications for ancillary products for stone structures - Part 1: Cavity anchors, wall anchors, joist / purlin hanger and support products.
The tests for determining the load-bearing capacity and deformation under load of raveel/girdle shoes are carried out, as prescribed from this product standard, on the basis of the test standard NEN-EN 846-8+A1 Test methods for ancillary products for stone structures - Part 8: Determination of the load-bearing capacity and load deformation behavior of beam girders.

Mechanical security devices

PUR/PIR, EPS and mineral wool
SKG-IKOB carries out various tests on insulation materials such as PUR/PIR, EPS and mineral wool. We test thermal resistance, form stability, compressive strength, water absorption and water vapor permeability. Based on EN product standards, once approved, CE marking is also issued for them.

Arbitration cases
It may happen that a dispute arises around complaints about building products. The owner, contractor, manufacturer, consultant, architect, attorney, arbitration body or court may then request SKG-IKOB to conduct an objective and expert inspection. In arbitration cases, we test the situation against relevant assessment guidelines and standards.
SKG-IKOB assesses at the earliest possible stage whether a follow-up investigation is necessary, such as a specialized test or calculation. Once the cause of the complaint has been analyzed, we will gladly think with you about the technical preconditions for the repair method.

Airtight sealing materials
With BENG requirements, the choice of materials becomes more important to ensure the airtightness of the building. SKG-IKOB can test your sealing materials according to the relevant standards. We also issue KOMO product certificates for sealing products for airtight construction according to BRL 2804-1.
