Vacancy Inspector - Energy performance construction and real estate

Job Description

As an Inspector, you will be part of a close-knit team of colleagues who work daily to coordinate and ensure proper compliance with the Energy Performance of Building Directive (EPBD) regulations. In your role, you will be in frequent contact with companies engaged in the preparation of energy performance calculations and customized advice for residential and/or non-residential buildings. Companies engaged in such activities must comply with the requirements and guidelines established by law for this purpose. These requirements and guidelines are laid down in an assessment guideline (BRL) and in various ISSO publications. The supervision of correct compliance with the aspects mentioned in these guidelines is an important task in this whole. In your role as Inspector you will visit homes and/or utility buildings for which energy performance calculations have been prepared by clients of SKG-IKOB.

What will you do?

In your role as an Inspector, you will work closely with the Coordinator, Sector Coordinator, and various Auditors and (fellow) Inspectors. You will have an itinerant, responsible and independent position, with a broad and varied range of tasks:
- You will independently carry out inspection and research activities at companies certified by SKG-IKOB.
- Both within and outside our organization, you will be a point of contact and answer any questions relating to ISSO publications.
- You prepare reports, identify deviations and monitor corrective measures.
- You ensure that you are up to date with all products and content related to the BRL 9500 and current ISSO publications. You closely follow the latest developments on this subject in the market.
- You maintain good contact with your colleagues and the companies in your network. You show yourself to be a real expert in your field.

Where will you work?

SKG-IKOB group consists of four companies: SKG-IKOB Certification BV, Keurhuis Nederland BV, BRIS BV and Keuringshuis BV. With our services such as certification, research and inspection, SKG-IKOB is a household name in the building industry. As an Inspector you will be working for SKG-IKOB Certification. SKG-IKOB Certification is one of the national certification bodies in our sector. The main office is in Geldermalsen, the working area covers all of the Netherlands (and even beyond).

Who are we looking for?

- You have MBO working and thinking level, preferably with a construction and/or installation engineering background.
- To do your job well, it is important to us that you have had an EP diploma for at least 3 years, with preference for the EP-U Detail method.
- You have an affinity for the construction and/or installation industry, and specifically in the area of energy conservation.
- Working at a certification body, means that we keep a very close eye on applicable laws and regulations. For us, following the correct (internal) procedures is therefore an important basis from which we work. For you this also means that you are very punctual and like to have your work (also administratively) in good order.
- You are motivated to take on this challenge and you have a proactive attitude to work.
- You are communicatively strong and customer friendly. In contact with our customers you know how to express yourself well both verbally and in writing.
