Contact with Notified Body
In order to properly inform you as a SKG-IKOB certificate holder on EN 771-1, we are in close contact with a Notified Body based in the UK, namely: British Board of Agrément (BBA). This Notified Body is accredited to EN 771-1 and can assist your company with what is required for the application of UKCA marking for the products covered by the scope of EN 771-1. More information on the four simple steps of the UKCA marking application process can be found here.
What steps must be taken to start the BBA process?
Step 1: To start the process with BBA, you must this completed and submitted application form.
Step 2: This form may be submitted directly to Karen Maplesden (
Step 3: You will then receive a quote from BBA, which will start the process.
The role of SKG-IKOB
With the current form of the process, SKG-IKOB has no active role and the process runs directly between the manufacturer and BBA. In this form, therefore, no costs are charged by SKG-IKOB. In the event that we need to have an active role in, for example, providing or translating the FPC reports drawn up by us on the basis of EN 771-1, we will of course inform you of the additional costs.
We trust to have informed you sufficiently and helped you on your way. For more information please contact Harm van Dartel at
