Important changes within the SNF seal of approval

As of September 1, 2021, a number of changes took effect within Stichting Normering Flexwonen (SNF). The SNF quality mark demonstrates whether a number of set standards for housing labor migrants have been met. The 100% check is made mandatory, there is a new location register and it becomes mandatory to have an annual administrative check prior to inspections. Our colleague Peterjan Rijs, SNF coordinator is happy to explain these changes.

From sampling to 100% control

The 100% check is a mandatory part of the SNF seal of approval. There are no more spot checks at housing locations. All enterprises are audited annually. Depending on the number of locations, inspections are divided into several periods. This creates more efficient routes.

Multiple companies regularly used one housing location. From now on, it must be known for each location whether a company is First Responsible (EV) or Other Interested Party (AB). By making this distinction, shared locations are checked only with the first-responsible company. View here the video for more information regarding the accountability distinction.

A new location register

To make the 100% control scheme as efficient as possible, a new location register is now available. Uploading locations as well as updating the location list can now be done even more efficiently through the link with the own administration. All locations of the company should be entered into the location register. This also applies to the locations used by the company as ''Other Interested Party''. The link with the land registry's BAG viewer ensures that duplicate locations can no longer be entered.

The login information has been sent by email from SNF. This allows immediate access to the new location register. Besides a location overview, the new location register also becomes the basis of the inspections. A file is created per location in which companies and inspectors work dynamically. Reports, comments, corrective actions, etc. are processed online in the files. These are available to both parties at all times.

Annual administrative inspection

Prior to the inspections, an annual administrative inspection will take place. This will check the completeness of the location register. It also checks for compliance with the requirements of good employment practices and supervision and management.

As in previous years, SKW Certificatie B.V. is working with its partner Bureau Cicero for this inspection. This means that Bureau Cicero performs the administrative inspection before the on-site inspections take place. The administrative inspection takes place annually a few weeks before the expiration date of the quality mark.
