The Foundation for Safety Cooperation (SSVV) introduces VCA Version 2026/6.1

The Foundation for Safety Cooperation (SSVV) is introducing VCA version 2026/6.1. Since the introduction of VCA 2017/6.0, there have been many changes in the practice of safe and healthy working. In its role as owner and developer, SSVV has adapted the VCA scheme to reflect these developments, ensuring that the scheme remains relevant, up-to-date, and clear.

What has changed?

The new version VCA 2026/6.1:

  • Provides greater clarity through more precise wording;
  • Better align with real-world practice and recent developments within the industries;
  • Strengthens alignment with other SSVV product standards. As a result, the framework remains consistent with the VCA-MAX safety culture combination, and leadership skills (VCA-LEI) are now fully integrated into the framework.

These changes further strengthen the foundation of VCA. In this way, SSVV, in collaboration with its 26 affiliated industry organizations, continues to build a sustainable framework for safe and healthy working conditions.
