Press Release - SKG-IKOB accredited for new SCC 2017/6.0
SKG-IKOB Certification has achieved accreditation for the new VCA 2017/6.0 scheme that came into force on Oct. 2. This means that it may certify companies based on this scheme and issue VCA* and VCA** certificates.
SCC 2017/6.0 replaces SCC 2008/5.1. In the new regulation, safety is even more central. Practical experience in recent years has led to a number of points concerning the workplace being tightened up. More time has also been set aside for workplace audits. Safety in the workplace is also a matter of behavior. That is why the new standard includes a program for HSE (Safety, Health, Environment) awareness and behavior that is mandatory for SCC** certified companies. The new scheme now has one scheme for the Netherlands and Belgium, without its own emphases. All this ensures more clarity and reliability in the chain.
Based on the Transitional Arrangement, a Dutch or Belgian company must be in possession of a VCA2017/6.0 certificate no later than Oct. 2, 2021. Recertification is already being carried out in accordance with the new VCA standard as of October 2.
