The Safety Culture Ladder 2.0 is effective Jan. 1, 2024
The scope of the safety culture ladder has broadened considerably in recent years. With this broadening came more comments on the Handbook / Certification Scheme as well. This has now resulted in a complete revision of the Safety Culture Ladder and the emergence of the new version: Safety Culture Ladder 2.0 (SCL 2.0).
What will change?
The Safety Culture Ladder 2.0 will replace the current version in the coming years. This entails the following changes:
In the new version, corporate culture is looked at using five themes, which were six;
The description of the themes is more focused on corporate culture;
The description of step 1 has been added. Step 1 was already indicated in the previous standard, but not yet described. This is necessary to allow for a logical structure of descriptions;
The method of weighing has been adjusted.
The reporting requirements have been adjusted. Reports may no longer be traceable to a person.
The certification scheme
Corporate culture is looked at using themes. In the previous version there were 6, in the new version 5 themes are used. These are:

Theme 5: Learning and Improvement.
