BuildingLabel receives first SKG-IKOB KOMO certificate for airtightness measurements
On March 22, BuildingLabel received the first SKG-IKOB KOMO certificate for performing airtightness measurements. At the Building Holland trade fair, Remco Kruit, certification manager of SKG-IKOB Certificatie, handed the certificate to Maurits Lavèn, director of BuildingLabel.
The airtightness of buildings is measured with a so-called blower door test. Due to the increase in the requirement for the insulation value of buildings, this measurement is being carried out more and more frequently. Several initiators have therefore worked on an Assessment Guideline (BRL), the BRL 5027, to standardize and demonstrate the quality of the performance. This makes it easy for a client to select a reliable and qualified company. The BRL 5027 sets quality requirements for both the management and the execution of the measurement itself. SKG-IKOB Certification periodically checks the implementation of the measurements against the relevant requirements from, among others, the NEN and NEN-EN standards.
BuildingLabel has already been certified by SKW Certification, a brand of SKG-IKOB Certification, for the BRL 9500 series that assures the quality of energy performance consulting. The company facilitates a nationwide network of 300 energy performance consultants for residential and commercial construction.
