By investing in LED lighting, which is obviously more energy efficient than the existing lighting, we generate energy savings of 8,018 kW per year. Besides the savings in kW, the fixtures are also eligible for the Energy Investment Allowance (EIA). Together with Vindsubsidies and Mol Installatie Techniek we decided to purchase fixtures that meet the specific requirements within the EIA (at least 110 lumens per watt).
Investing in energy-efficient lighting cuts both ways. Significant energy savings are achieved and we receive a tax benefit of almost 15%. This significantly reduces our payback period.
