How do I apply for the KOMO quality label?

A KOMO quality label in 5 steps with SKG-IKOB!

1 Make an appointment with SKG-IKOB

SKG-IKOB will inform you in advance about the possibilities relating to acquiring a KOMO certificate. That way, you will know exactly what to expect in terms of effort and investment. Make an appointment.

2 Check the assessment guideline

If there is already an assessment guideline (BRL) for your product or process, you can apply to SKG-IKOB for certification. If there is no BRL for your product or process, please contact us. SKG-IKOB, guided by a Board of Experts that includes representatives of the relevant market parties, can devise a new assessment guideline to cover your product or process.

3 Admission review

Once your application has been received, SKG-IKOB will carry out an admission review to see whether your products/services and your internal quality assurance system satisfy the certification criteria.

4 Certificate issuance

If all the criteria have been met, SKG-IKOB will issue the requested KOMO certificate. This will be published on the website of KOMO and the website of SKG-IKOB.

5 Continuous quality control

If you have been issued with a certificate, it is important that you maintain the quality of both your product and your internal quality assurance system. SKG-IKOB will therefore visit your company (announced or unannounced) several times a year. Product samples may be taken for analysis in the independent SKG-IKOB laboratory during one of these visits to ensure the continued quality of your product. Make an appointment.
