How do I apply for ISO 9001 certification?

1 Make an appointment with SKG-IKOB

SKG-IKOB will explain all the possibilities relating to acquiring an ISO 9001 certificate beforehand so that you know exactly what to expect in terms of effort and investment. Make an appointment.

2 Submit application

This is the official start of the ISO 9001 certification process. Subsequently, the first appointments will be made by the SKG-IKOB audit team in order to carry out an admission review.

3 Admission review

To assess whether your quality system complies with the guidelines, the SKG-IKOB audit team will conduct an admission review, or an audit (in 2 stages). The results of the audit will be used to decide whether your company can be certified.

SKG-IKOB will inspect various aspects, including:

  • the control of processes within your organization
  • the degree of management involvement in policy on quality o your organization's quality management systems and the way in which the organization meets the legal requirements
  • the way that the criteria for the ISO 9001 standard are embedded in your organization's policy, the expertise of your staff, implementation, complaints registration and procedures, and product quality control

4 Certificate issuance

If all requirements are met, SKG-IKOB will issue an ISO 9001 certificate. This will be published on the SKG-IKOB website.

5 Periodical checks

Continuity is crucial in certification. Therefore, SKG-IKOB will annually check your organisation's quality management system to determine whether the system still meets the standards.
